London City (LCY) arrivals · business travel
London City is the business traveller's airport: small, fast to get through, and a few miles from Canary Wharf. You can be out of the terminal within minutes of landing, so your chauffeur is ready in arrivals when you are, and you're on the M11 to Cambridge without crossing central London.

Arrival
London City has one compact terminal, and the walk from the aircraft to the arrivals area is short. Your chauffeur waits in arrivals with a name board and walks you to the car, usually just a few minutes from the door.
Because the airport is so quick to get through, we time the chauffeur to your actual landing, not the schedule. Flight tracking is included, and you get 60 minutes of free waiting.
The journey
Distance
about 60 miles
Typical drive
75 to 100 minutes
Main roads
A13, A406 and M11
Cambridge is about 60 miles away. The route heads north from the Docklands on the A406 North Circular to the M11, then straight up to Cambridge. Allow 75 to 100 minutes. East London traffic varies more than the motorway, so we plan around live conditions.
Many of our London City passengers are heading to meetings at the Biomedical Campus, AstraZeneca, the Science Park or the colleges. The car is a quiet place to take a call or finish a presentation on the way.
By rail, you'd take the DLR to Stratford or Bank, then the Underground or Elizabeth line to Liverpool Street or King's Cross for a train to Cambridge: around 1 hour 45 minutes with two or three changes.
For business travellers, the chauffeur is usually faster door to door, and it works for corporate accounts with monthly invoicing, so there are no expense claims for multiple tickets.
